SANKALPA - IS SANSKRIT TERM IN YOGIC PHILOSOPHY AND THE SOLEMN AND EFFECTIVE WAY TO TRUE TRANSFORMATION ACCORDING TO YOUR HEART

In Sanskrit, SAN means connection to the highest truth and KALPA means vow.

At the root of every desire is a goal, a deep seated intention that comes from the sacred space in our hearts, it is not just based on a thought or feeling, it is a combination of both at a much deeper level.

Language in relative terms is somewhat limiting because the meaning of each word has a linear sense, unlike Sanskrit.

Sanskrit as a phonetic ancient language is full of depth and richness that go beyond words as we know them, adding much deeper meaning and beauty to the various layers of communication within our tapestry that is life.

In the Vedic ancient tradition of Yoga and Ayurveda, setting an intention is an art of aligning with our soul's deepest purpose, it serves as a vow we make to ourselves to stay on track our mission while in transit on planet earth.

A Sankalpa is essentially a short and concise "statement" aligned with your soul's deepest purpose, your inner belief, in synchronicity with what is meant to be, to "dance" with that purpose in the right direction.

Intentions could be how we verbally crystallize (in silence or out loud) a vision we would like to see manifest, speaking as if it has already happened, to infuse it with the energy of the NOW.

This could take the form of a daily practice, a prayer if you will, which could be a meditation in itself as it settles and crystallizes in your subconscious, and then the intention is heard in the spirit world where it is left to seed manifestation.

In the yoga and Ayurvedic tradition, daily practice and repetition are the foundation of the most fertile soil for true transformation and manifestation. Therefore, the daily repetition of our Sankalpa is of utmost importance, much like the daily repetition of a mantra or affirmation - Japa Mala in Sanskrit, the more repetition and practice, the closer we come to the Divine.

Practice, practice, practice, repeat, repeat, repeat! If not on your own, then in the company of like-minded spirits gathered with a similar goal or higher purpose, where each and every person voices their intention and creates a field of love where each benefits in some way from the intentions of the other. It is magical.

In ancient times, at the beginning of each and every day, ritual, ceremony or communion, an intention was made, a spark of the sacredness of the mystery beyond the physical plane, where with eyes closed we set the tone for what lies ahead, filling that space with creativity, enthusiasm and magic, capturing it with love to create and attract goodness on behalf of all sentient beings.

As we continue to transform and morph into a new earth and paradigm, our clear and grand intentions carry the potential for collective conscious transformation as they are connected to who we are becoming and rise from a space of love and inner guidance.

Digging deep into our superconsciousness to remind ourselves of who we really are and what we are capable of is our current work. Therefore, intentions play a crucial role in our daily endeavor to collectively create the most fruitful, peaceful and regenerative future possible to achieve higher states of consciousness and evolution, because that is what we are all here for, whether we know it or not.

A Sankalpa is connected to who we really are, to what we are becoming, it is born from love and our inner guidance. Similar to planting a seed in a healthy and well cared for soil and then watering it daily with the water that flows from our well of deep knowledge so that the seeds can germinate, grow and flourish naturally and at their own rhythm, not in our and especially without expectations.

In this process we transform the mundane into a sacred ritual that leads to a sense of belonging and claims our higher purpose. Visualizatipn plays a great role in the process of crystallizing an intention. When we see it clearly in our mind, it embraces the process of embodiment, helping to attract its power and set the perfect tone to invoke it.

Living in Ibiza, an island with an abundance of spiritual seekers and a series of ceremonies of all kinds, we often have the opportunity to be in the light of creative intentions. It has become a part of our daily communion not only with ourselves but with the whole, which brings a magical aspect to the dimension of a Sankalpa, And that is when it is activated in the presence of a group of like-minded souls who are willing to make this evolution.

Sitting around a circle with people you may not know personally could be a bit intimidating if it is not part of your "vida cotidiana" as we say in Spanish, part of your daily events, and then saying an intimate prayer to "call out" what the deepest layers of your heart and soul are singing.

It may not be that easy at first, and it may feel uncomfortable, but as uncomfortable as that may be, it is incredibly powerful. It creates a collective heart coherence like no other, the closest thing to loudly expressing an intention in the intimate sanctity of a safe container. Creating this kind of collective healing energy experience is the goal of singing in a group.

You could of course choose not to say your intention out loud, it's just important that it resonates with you and your heart's desires.

A group's sankalpa could also be shared by the group as a whole, which also raises its vibration and is extremely powerful. Individual sankalpa sankalpas are solemnly personal. Ultimately, it is about creating or formulating a Sankalpa and committing to it.

As a vision in the direction you want your life to go. How to set a Sankalpa / intention:

Take a moment to lie down comfortably and relax. Take a few deep breaths to clear the clutter of the mind. Breathe in through your nose and out through your mouth for a long time. Do not hurry. Close your eyes. Connect internally and feel.

Keep your intention short, clear and concise. Allow the voice of your soul to speak it in the present tense (as if it has already happened) and in complete trust and surrender. Do this in silence or out loud. Allow it to come naturally without forcing, understand what the driving force is behind your Sankalpa, is it coming from a place of connection? From a place of deep knowing? It only works if it comes from the depths of yourself.

3. once you have spoken, trust your intention and believe it with everything you have, feel free to visualize its reality as vividly as possible.

4. then let them work for you in peace and harmony and in full confidence.

If your Sankalpa is part of a daily affirmation to create a new reality for you, then commit to a daily repetition practice, upon waking or before going to bed. The next best time is noon - 12 noon.

Also write down your Sankalpa, more specifically with the energy of the waxing moon, and then do a ritual of burning it on the full moon to release attachment and surrender to the will of the Divine.

In the light of all good intentions to give color to our dreams, May our Sankalpas manifest in divine and perfect timing.

Namaste
